It’s been a few days, but plenty has been going on.
I’ve been published twice on the website (click here and here to have a read), and there’s plenty more to come in the upcoming issues! The trick with an internship to ask if they need anything doing, this week has been particularly busy as they’ve been finishing off the June issue, and today everything was completed and ready to be sent off to the publishers.
It’s been a time of more writing and emailing for quotes, but it’s also been a busy weekend with lots of exploring. On Saturday I took a walk (a very long one – 3 hours!) all around Bristol city centre. I headed along the former docks to the SS Great Britain and across the water to the cathedral before having a look around the University of Bristol, which is a lot bigger and very different to Lincoln. Afterwards, I headed downhill to Cabot Circus, the huge and very shiny shopping centre for some retail therapy, before finally heading back to my flat for a well needed sit down.
Sunday was another relaxing day, and I met up with a former course friend from Lincoln who’s currently living just outside the city. We headed to Clifton, one of the fanciest areas of Bristol (lots of young professionals, students and yummy mummies) to a pub with the best view of the Clifton suspension bridge. In the nice warm sunshine, you can’t beat a bit of Pimms.
